INTERNATIONAL OLYMPIC COMMITTEE (IOC)
Athlead works with the IOC to develop best practices around trauma-informed investigations into interpersonal violence in sport. Our work feeds into the IOC Safe Sport Regional Hub Initiative, which sees us working with local and regional experts in Southern Africa and the Pacific Islands, to ensure training and guidance are culturally contextualised.
COMMONWEALTH GAMES FEDERATIONS: INVESTIGATIONS TRAINING
In advance of the Trinidad and Tobago games, Athlead delivered online training to members of the Commonwealth Games Federation. This focused on the practical steps required to conduct an investigation into concerns of abuse and taking a survivor-centred and trauma-informed approaches. The training used case studies and interactive learning processes for participants to proactively engage and practice the core skills required to meet CGF expectations.
FIFA SAFE SPORT ENTITY
Athlead’s CEO, Kat Craig, served as an independent advisor on the International Steering Group for FIFA’s Safe Sport Entity, a global initiative to build survivor-centred, accountable systems to address and prevent abuse in football.
BRITISH BASKETBALL FEDERATION (BBF) PLAYERS WORKSHOP
Athlead hosted a workshop with current and former British basketball players, including former team GB captain Azania Stewart, to deepen the BBF’s understanding of player prioritise and ensure that the athlete voice was centred in its upcoming strategic developments.
